Check out the latest edition of the template for the Early Christian Writings webpages. Once again I call upon those reading this to submit their comments. Many of those made already have been incorporated into the design, some haven't--don't be afraid to make a similar suggestion. One thing that I know that I need to do is to make the dropdown categorical menu more obviously a menu.

I know that some people don't care much for the wooden frame and the general use of graphics in the current template. I am wondering what suggestions there might be for a less graphic-heavy look.

thanks,

Peter

I think it looks really good. The graphics seem pretty subtle to me.

My only issue is that the faded image behind the text makes the very small text hard to read on my laptop, but it's fine on my brighter desktop.

Hey Peter, HUGE fan of your site. I think the "Genre", "reliability of dating" stuff is a really good idea, but its location makes it easy to miss. Personally, I like the way the page is now, with the chart at the bottom instead of a drop-down menu. I also think that simplicity is the key. While the graphics look nice, they can be a bit distracting.

I REALLY want to see less-than-early accounts of Jesus' life in the update. Like "The Children who Became Goats" and stuff. I realize this could add a lot of content, but I think it'd be a cool addition to make. Best of luck, man!

Looking again on my desktop, I noticed that the 'frame' will not grow past a certain size (my desktop is 1600x1200). When the browser is maximized there is a big empty space to the left.

While I don't mind it not growing past a given size, can the content be centered in this case?

Overall I think it's a great improvement.
